ELECT MICHELE STROH, YOUR NO GAS TAX CANDIDATE
Oregon is suffering under the weight of policies that have proven detrimental to working families and small businesses. We need to stop the cycle of endless taxes and bad policy perpetuated, sadly, by our own current State Senator.
I am the “No Gas Tax Candidate”, if I were in Salem versus Mark Meek, you would not see your cost of living going up so much. We are the 4th highest taxed state, and the burden is driving a mass exodus of families and businesses. We must become frugal, stick to a tight budget, and stop rushing to bloated tax bills as a quick fix.
Our communities do not feel safe, and that’s unacceptable. We must fully fund our law enforcement and ensure that our laws are enforced—there must be consequences for lawlessness
Our children’s education has been hindered severely. We still have extreme policies that no longer require a mastery of skills for graduation, leaving our students unprepared for college or the workforce. We need to bring accountability back to our schools.
The “Housing First” approach hasn’t delivered. The process has been impossible due to red tape and complex permitting, leading to failure. We need practical, workable solutions that deliver results, not more complexity.
It’s time for Salem to listen to each other and embrace common-sense legislation. I’m running to restore a balanced approach and a common goal: to make Oregon the premier place to start a business, raise a family, and thrive.
Let’s save Oregon together, she is worth it.
I’m a lifelong Oregonian who believes our state is worth fighting for. My husband and I have raised five children here over the past 36 years, so I know what it takes to build a life in this community. When I couldn’t find the right childcare, I left the banking world to start a small business—becoming a ‘home away from home for children who needed it. My focus has always been on being in the community and making a difference—from Marching Band and 4H to community sports and student council.
Taking Action When It Matters Most
My commitment to public service became a mission after the tragic death of our son, Keaton, in 2020. He was killed instantly by a fake pill containing Fentanyl. I turned my pain into action, first running for the Oregon City School Board to educate our community and save other families from this heartbreak.
Once elected, I worked immediately with our school nurses to bring forth Clackamas County’s first Narcan policy, which passed unanimously. I didn’t stop there. I pushed for statewide education on fentanyl and other drugs in all schools, which passed in the last session. As Chair of Oregon City Together, a drug and alcohol prevention coalition, I continue to host education nights with our local police. I also worked with the Fix M110 coalition on a bipartisan effort to amend the measure, seeking to give law enforcement the tools they need to stop the influx of drugs and dealers into our state.
I ran for re-election to the school board last spring and won! Now, I’ve chosen to run for Oregon State Senate District 20 to continue elevating the voices in our community that have been silenced by the Portland Democrats’ one-party rule, who repeatedly fail our communities.
