Democrats, Independents, and non-affiliated voters across Senate District 20 are supporting Michele Stroh. Here’s why.

This isn’t about red or blue. It’s about whether your family can afford to live here, whether your kids’ diploma means something, and whether your neighborhood feels safe.

Michele Stroh has never governed as a partisan — because school boards don’t work that way. When she championed Clackamas County’s first Narcan policy, it passed unanimously. When she pushed for fentanyl education in every Oregon school, it became law with votes from both parties. When Oregon City voters re-elected her to the school board in 2025, they didn’t ask her party. They looked at her results.

Salem has been run by one party long enough that no one has to listen anymore. A vote for Michele isn’t a vote for Republicans — it’s a vote for balance, and for a senator who has to earn your trust every single session.

Where Michele stands

Will you actually work with Democrats? I already do — every school board vote I’ve won passed with Democratic colleagues. The Narcan policy was unanimous. My drug-prevention coalition includes people from every party and no party. I’ll caucus where my registration puts me, but my votes belong to District 20.

Are you running to advance a national agenda? No. I’m running because of what happened to my son and my community. My priorities are affordability, safe neighborhoods, schools that deliver, and real results on homelessness. If a bill helps our district, I vote yes. If it doesn’t, I vote no — whoever wrote it.

What if your party pressures you on a vote? Ask them how that’s gone so far. I ran for school board as a mom, not a party pick, and I’ve never taken a vote to make a party happy. The moment I answer to Salem instead of you, vote me out.

The difference this year

Mark Meek talks about independence. But when Salem voted to raise your gas tax, vehicle fees, and payroll taxes in September 2025, he voted yes — and this May, the voters of Oregon said no.
